NCSM is a unique organization that provides a venue for mathematics leaders to work with a common goal of improving student achievement. As the associate journal editor, I am particularly proud of the opportunity the NCSM Journal of Mathematics Education Leadership offers for disseminating the results of our work and contributing to the broader field of mathematics education.

As a new assistant professor at a university, I was interested in finding organizations that provided a venue for sharing my work and research that focused on the professional development of mathematics teachers. I was also interested in learning from colleagues who were similarly engaged in supporting teachers. NCSM was a perfect fit! Now as a full professor, I continue to reap the rewards of membership in NCSM.
