How to Differentiate Your Mathematics Instruction, Grades K-5
How can teachers meet the growing diversity of learning needs in their classrooms? Furthermore, how do teachers meet this challenge in the midst of increasing pressures to master specified content? In this session you'll learn classroom practices that help all students be successful, support the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, and give teachers the means to honor individual students. You'll get a special opportunity to see the practices-whether it be menus, tiered tasks, math workshops, or multiple intelligences centers-in action via video clips of actual K-5 classrooms.

Meeting the Common Core's Mathematical Fact Fluency Challenge with Reflex
What is mathematical fact fluency? Why is it critical in secondary as well as elementary education? What method for developing fluency will promote automaticity across a broad range of students? What if we could solve the problem of mathematical fact fluency in 10 minutes per day? See the latest results of ongoing research into fact fluency and how students attain it over time, based on longitudinal performance data being continuously collected by an online research platform developed under National Science Foundation grants. Come and see Reflex-an online product from ExploreLearning, makers of Gizmos.
