New Mathematics Leaders: Focus Question/Answer Time for Implementation of the Common Core State Standards
Where do we start? After three days of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) discoveries, collaborate with other new mathematics leaders to create a network of support on how to bridge the "knowing-doing gap" for implementing the CCSS. This session will allow for open discussion regarding the "how to" implementation of the CCSS.

Expanding Opportunities for Our Most Promising Students of Mathematics with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
The latest NCSM position paper is Improving Student Achievement in Mathematics by Expanding Opportunities for Our Most Promising Students of Mathematics. However, the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) make no specific mention of these students. Come explore ways NCSM might identify and develop resources that build on the CCSS to help students develop their talents, passion, and creativity.
