PCLM Mission Statement

PCLM envisions a community of mathematics leaders who strive to improve the mathematics achievement of all students by supporting teachers to strengthen their content and implement diverse instructional practices.

To achieve our vision we will:

P:Promote opportunities for networking and collaboration among leaders in mathematics education to ensure their growth and development.
C:Communicate current and relevant mathematics issues, research, trends, programs, policies, best practices, and use of technology to mathematics leaders and other stakeholders in education, business, and government.
L:Lead and support educators in making informed decisions that will improve student achievement, and sustain effective leadership to positively impact the future of mathematics education.
M: Motivate mathematics leaders to:
  • provide equity and access for all learners
  • recognize that leadership is a product of influence and not only a product of position or title
  • embrace a commitment to lifelong learning
  • look for and nurture leadership qualities in teachers with leadership potential.
