Elections Nominations and Eligibility

Nominations Process

Capitalize on your NCSM Membership and Leadership. Consider running for an open Board position or nominating someone for a position. Each year, you may nominate someone (or yourself) below. All nominations are due by November 15. We encourage and welcome a diverse pool of nominees.

 

2026 Open Positions

  • President Elect
  • Second Vice President
  • Regional Director, Central 2 (Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin)
  • Regional Director, Eastern 2 (Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia)
  • Regional Director, Western 2 (California, Far West: American Samoa, Federated States (Guam, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Northern Mariana Island, Palau Islands), Hawaii, Military AP: AFO/FPO, Oregon, Washington)

Candidate Eligibility

If you are running for a position or nominating someone for a position, please note the eligibility requirements. According to the NCSM Constitution, Article V, Section 4, “A candidate for any office shall have been a member of NCSM in good standing for at least the previous year before being placed in nomination.” Therefore, members eligible to be placed in nomination must be in good standing as of November 15, one year prior to the nominations deadline. Voter Eligibility

Make sure that you are eligible to vote in each election. In order to vote, you must be a member in good standing as of January 15, the year voting occurs. It is very important to keep your membership current! If you are eligible you will receive notification and reminders to vote. Join or Renew now.
