My journey as an educator in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex gave me the incredible opportunity to work with a talented group of math leaders through McMath. This experience led me to join TASM, our statewide math leaders’ organization, where I had the chance to collaborate with educators from across Texas. From there, I was introduced to NCSM, which expanded my network to include passionate educators from all over the nation.
The connections and collaborative opportunities I’ve found through organizations like NCSM have been instrumental to my growth. These experiences have offered me valuable learning opportunities—through conference sessions, books, podcasts, newsletters, and more. But most importantly, they’ve allowed me to network with leaders who are actively putting learning into practice and providing support.
Through my work with NCSM, I look forward to helping others access these same opportunities to connect, learn, and grow. Together, we can ensure that all students have the best chances to succeed in mathematics classrooms across the nation and beyond.
